Mrs. Gyla Holz, a 5th-grade teacher at Anderson Elementary, received a surprise when representatives from Arvest Bank walked into her classroom with a giant $500 check!
She was honored for her incredible dedication to education and her students with the gift from Arvest Bank’s We Love Teachers program. The grant awards outstanding teachers with $500 to use toward classroom expenses. Mrs. Holz is the only McDonald County School District teacher to receive the award this year.
Mrs. Holz's passion for teaching science, from nurturing young scientists to inspiring a love for nature with her aquarium of pet frogs, truly sets her apart. Her classroom is a hub of creativity and learning, and we couldn't be prouder to have her as part of our McDonald County Schools family.
